In the 2020 NBA draft, the Charlotte Hornets selected LaMelo Ball with the #3 overall pick. Ball impressed the NBA scouts with his talent and most expect him to become a world-class player one day.
Being one of the most touted players to enter the league naturally comes with a huge paycheck. While some players like to spend their paychecks on fancy cars or invest in businesses, LaMelo Ball decided to rent a magnificent condo in Charlotte.
How much did it cost for LaMelo Ball to rent his new condo?
According to Front Office Sports, the condo is owned by NFL quarterback Cam Newton, who bought it in 2012 for a staggering $1.6 million. However, with the curtains being drawn on Cam Newton’s career in Charlotte, he listed the condo for sale in 2019.
Initially, there was a $3.2 million price tag on the condo, but since that time the price has dropped to around $2.6 million. Well, since Newton couldn’t find a potential buyer for his condo, he struck a deal with the 19-year-old prodigy.
The condo is located in a boutique building called “The Trust” in the uptown neighborhood. The place, known for attracting celebrities and athletes over the years, was an obvious pick for LaMelo.
What does Ball’s new condo look like?
The 3,335 square foot condo features three beautiful bedrooms along with 3.5 bathrooms. The open living and dining room area gives the condo a contemporary and modern look. The kitchen is further designed with state-of-the-art appliances.
Speaking of the bedrooms in the house, the master bedroom flaunts a humongous walk-in closet along with a spa bath. Lastly, the house is equipped with a wet bar and a glassed-in solarium.
