A Match Made In Heaven: The Eugenie Bouchard-Nick Kyrgios Mixed ...

Eugenie Bouchard And Nick Kyrgios Play Mixed Doubles

This pairing caught the eye of a lot of viewers at the 2015 US Open. Eugenie Bouchard and Nick Kyrgios decided to play mixed doubles and won their first-round match. Sadly, they had to give a walkover in the second round due to their commitments towards the singles matches.

We have seen many singles players play doubles so why was this special? This pairing was special because of the chemistry between the 2 players. You could clearly see that they were enjoying themselves as they were chatting and giggling between points. Bouchard also admitted that she had fun as Kyrgios was extremely funny.

As you would expect, this partnership went viral on Twitter. There were rumours that they were actually dating and that this match was actually their first date. This was never really confirmed.

Dating rumours aside, everyone enjoyed watching Eugenie Bouchard and Nick Kyrgios playing together. Their partnership showed how entertaining a match could be when 2 singles players played doubles together. I am sure all of us would be hoping for such partnerships from other players.

Sadly, we will not be able to see that for a while as the tennis season has been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. Tennis fan was very unhappy to hear this but sadly there is not much they can do about it. They can only hope that the virus is contained.

Hopefully, that is exactly what happens and happens soon. We will then see the return of the tennis season and hopefully some entertaining partnerships like Eugenie Bouchard’s and Nick Kyrgios’.
