Ferrari is still bleeding red from the wounds of the season. The car and the team stand shattered in pieces after the shambolic display this season. The principal does not have a befitting reply, and to make things worse, their unreasonable axing of Sebastian Vettel enraged many.
However, the situations were not so even a couple of years ago. Ferrari was a team where Sebastian Vettel still hoped to thrive and succeed. His form was far better than what it was recently, and he was more confident. Moreover, there was no hidden apprehension among the team members, and they worked as one unit.
The press has reduced Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel to an element of mockery. The team that once hailed the great Michael Schumacher gathers nothing but criticism now. The German suffered from mental dilemmas and the crew has no clue of the functioning. However, back in the day, the relationship was far better.
With the Rhinelander leaving Ferrari for his new team, his past days of joy with them are lighting up on the internet.
A video from that year that has the then-principal Maurizio Arrivabene is going viral. The video is a classic example of why Sebastian was a stronger driver then – the team had his back and Arrivabene had faith in his team.
“I give you an answer. Having said so, what you said is not correct,” replied Maurizio to Andrew Benson, who accused the team of being incompetent.
“I don’t want to point a finger on the team or on the driver. If we are losing, we are losing together and if we are winning, we are winning together. That’s it.”

Sebastian Vettel unlucky at Ferrari
Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel was a poor match. The German won several races with the Italians but could never get around winning the championship.
It’s been over a decade since Ferrari lifted the title, and if the team does not work hard, they will perish in the fast-paced competition.
The team has promised renewed zeal in 2021. With the likes of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, they are preparing well. The modified regulations for 2021 are also an incentive to the team. However, in order to take the battle to the leaders, they will have to come up with a powerful car.
“We start the season in a very good shape and then as Sebastian said yesterday, he made mistake. Then from Monza and going on, we were not there with the car and this is a fact too, if you are talking about facts,” darted Arrivabene.
The spirit of defending his team at all costs defines why many want him in Binotto’s seat.
Ferrari needs to work on team chemistry and strategies; they will have to stop pointing fingers and start fixing issues. No one can help them unless they cover the basics of a team.
Former principals have highlighted this repeatedly, but it seems to fall on deaf ears. Well, they better start noticing before it’s too late.
