WATCH: Warriors’ Klay Thompson Beams With Joy After Steph Curry Buries Transition Three

Steph Curry is arguably the greatest shooter in NBA history. There is no player in history that has shown the uncanny ability to shoot the ball like how Curry can. Even his teammate, who is a shooting extraordinaire can’t believe some of the shots Steph hits. If it is hard to believe, you can just listen to how Klay Thompson reacted to a Steph Curry three on commentary.

Thompson joined the Warriors commentary booth for the second quarter of their game against the Detroit Pistons. In the game, Steph gets the ball as the Warriors seem to be on a fast-break. Instead of setting up a play, Curry just let the ball fly. Klay remarked how crazy that shot actually falling would be before the ball promptly went through the net.

Klay Thompson is spending his second consecutive season out with injury. He faced an ACL tear in the 2019 NBA Finals and was ready to return this season. However, he tore his Achilles in pre-season, giving the Warriors a big blow in what was considered to be their redemption season.

Steph Curry: Carrying the load without Klay Thompson

While the Warriors have a good squad, they are nothing without Steph Curry. Draymond Green couldn’t use his genius basketball IQ on the floor to much effect last season without Steph. However, the team is doing pretty well and look well on their way to the playoffs this season. However, they would probably be favorites if they had Klay Thompson.

Instead, we are watching the resurgence of Andrew Wiggins and the emergence of James Wiseman. While Kelly Oubre still has some work to do on his game, his contributions can also be extremely helpful in certain close-game situations.

Next season this team will not only be bolstered by Klay, but a possible high first-round pick because they have the Minnesota Timberwolves draft pick. It is top-three protected, but even adding the fourth overall pick from the 2021 Draft Class will make these Warriors extremely dangerous.
