For him, it (the Barca atmosphere) will be a very good opportunity. I wish him the best because he is my uncle, he is a very close person to me. I wish him the best possible way,” said an enthusiastic Nadal.

The 20-time Grand Slam winner admitted that his uncle was still very close to him. He said that it would be a great opportunity for him to work and learn in the Barca orbit.

The fall of Josep Bartomeu and the possible rise of Victor Font at Football Club Barcelona

Josep Bartomeu, the former president of FCB (Football Club Barcelona), recently resigned amidst protests from fans. He did not even wait till the no-confidence motion and submitted his resignation.

One of the major reasons for the above was his increasing misunderstanding with senior players like Lionel Messi, Louis Suarez, and Gerard Pique who were not happy with the team’s management.

Fumes enhanced when in August, there were rumors that even Messi might leave the club. Bartomeu faced heavy criticism for this.

He even made some terrible transfers which included the exchange of young mid-fielder Arthur Melo with Miralem Pjanic and that of letting go Ivan Rakitic at a low price to Sevilla.

After Bartomeu, Font certainly looks like the strong contender for President’s post. He has been critical of Bartomeu’s tactics and believes that it is the right time to introduce legendary Barcelona players like Xavi Hernandez to the coaching team. With Toni Nadal’s support, he hopes to acquire the position soon.
