Valtteri Bottas ‘Has No Chance Against’ Lewis Hamilton, Claims Former F1 Driver

Lewis Hamilton beat Valtteri Bottas by 124 points in the 2020 season. With 11 wins and 14 podiums, the Briton was way ahead of his teammate. It is essential for the Finnish driver to close the point gap with Hamilton. If he can’t then at least be the best driver behind him because Verstappen is catching up fast.

However, a Former F1 driver thinks Bottas can’t beat Hamilton.

The pair have been teammates for four years now. Despite beating Hamilton from time to time, the Finn was not consistent enough with his results. He remained in Hamilton’s rearview mirror most of the time.

Gerhard Berger said, “Lewis is definitely a first class pilot. In addition to his amazing speed and incredible talent, he now has a certain amount of experience. His teammate Valtteri Bottas is not a slow pilot either, but he has no chance against Hamilton. In fact, this is the case for most pilots.”

Berger solidified Hamilton’s success and stated, “I think Lewis is the best on the grid right now.” He has witnessed extraordinary success since he joined Mercedes in 2013. However, the champion is currently between contract renewal talks with the Brackley team.

The F1 community expects a final announcement on the contract soon. It is expected that Hamilton will continue his dominant partnership with Mercedes. In that case, he will have another year to battle it out with Valtteri Bottas.
