‘The Best Christmas Shoe is Definitely the Grinches’- Lakers’ Star Anthony Davis in Awe of the New Signature Kobe Shoes

The NBA is synonymous with the launch of custom themed sneakers in the festive season. The biggest stars of the league like Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard and Lakers’ Anthony Davis launched their custom sneakers this festive season.

Davis has sported Kobe’s signature shoes multiple times. During the 2020 NBA finals, AD donned the Trophy Gold Kobe 5s.

Fans were delighted when Nike and Davis announced that they were going to launch new Kobe 6 ‘Grinch’ Protos. The 27-year-old wore the ‘Grinch’ Kobe 6 exactly after 10 years Kobe Bryant wore them.

When asked about what his favorite Christmas sneaker, Davis said, “[The best] Christmas shoe is definitely the Grinches. I don’t think no one can argue that,”

AD had a great game on Christmas Eve as he ended up being the top scorer of the game, scoring a total of 28 points for the Champions. He also added a total of 8 rebounds.

The champions had a comfortable win against the Dallas Mavericks as four of their stars LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Montrezl Harrell, and Dennis Schroder combined to score 90 points in total.

Can the Lakers run it back this year?

The Lakers started their regular season in a bittersweet manner. First, they had an amazing ring ceremony for the champions. This was followed by a 7-point loss to the Clippers where Paul George scored 33 points.

The Lakers responded in some style as they dominated Luka Doncic and the Mavericks in a 138-115 victory. The Lakers looked like a much more complete side with the new signings.

Their superstars Anthony Davis and LeBron James stepped up as they scored 28 points and 22 points each and the new additions Montrezl Harrell and Dennis Schroder were also impressive scoring 22 and 18 points each.

The team is much deeper than last season. There are multiple players who can take the load off of AD and LBJ. Keeping all this in mind, the Lakers are certainly set for a repeat.
