In the future, the Greek player is determined to display signs of improvement. Tsitsipas training in Dubai ahead of the 2021 Season
Stefanos Tsitsipas is currently training under the guidance of the super coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, at his newly opened academy in Dubai. It’s been close to six years since the Greek has been under the direction of the coach famously known for being Serena Williams‘ coach. The improvements and constant progress in Tsitsipas’ game highlight the influence of Patrick.
Not long ago, former US Open champion and former world no. 1 Andy Roddick spoke highly about Stefanos and said that he was capable of winning Grand Slams in the near future and that if he could win matches even without playing his best tennis, it would do wonders for him. To which the Greek agreed and stated, “It’s all true, he played a lot and saw a lot of tennis. You can make great strides when it comes to that growth.”
2018 was a breakthrough season for Stefanos Tsitsipas
Stefanos Tsitsipas made himself known to the world during the 2018 season when he beat four ‘top 10’ players on his route to the final. In the following season, he beat the 20-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer during their Australian Open match and won the ATP Finals.
In 2020, a season hit by the coronavirus, Tsitsipas had a career-best performance at Roland Garros by reaching the semi-final. It was his second semi-final at the majors, with the first one being at the 2019 Australian Open. With the new season soon beginning, Stefanos Tsitsipas will surely be looking to create an impact at the majors in the new year.
