Spurs’ Head Coach Gregg Popovich Details What Makes LeBron James the GOAT

LeBron James is anything but a regular human being. A data scientist could perhaps build an entire AI-backed algorithm that could read his game and use it for machine learning. The upcoming generation will study how and why he became so utterly successful.

He has the sixth sense of an NFL quarterback, the astonishing power that can challenge a UFC fighter, and a work ethic that can place him as the CEO of a top firm. His influence is so strong that San Antonio Spurs’ legendary coach could not stop himself from praising the King for all his miraculous achievements.

Which ingredients make LeBron James stand out?

LeBron James is sitting on a heap of records. In fact, the year 2020 ended with him breaking his own past records. The Lakers defeated the Spurs 121-107 in their away game. Before that game, Spurs’ head coach Gregg Popovich had some great words to say about King James. The 71-YO legend expressed, “It’s a tribute to both his intelligence level and his tenacity, his character and his commitment to excellence. When you combine those things, you get what we see in LeBron James…”

Notably, the winningest coach in the NBA was ejected with 4 minutes remaining in Q2 after he screamed at Brown and stepped on the court.

On his 36th birthday, the L-Train scored 26 points, 5 boards, 8 assists, 1 steal, and a block. Like his Christmas Day performance, this one stood out as well. He had even scored a 30-point double-double on the 42nd birth anniversary of Kobe Bryant as a tribute. This shows how he always manages to perform on important occasions.

King James’ 36th birthday gifted him with more league records

LeBron James helped the Lakers win their 17th title in his 17th year with the league. He has been performing exceptionally well. Against the Spurs, just as he scored his 10th point, the game became his 1000th consecutive regular-season match where he scored in double figures. This has never happened before.

If that was not enough, he broke his own record too. This was the 8th time he played an NBA game on his birthday. Also, he now has 256 points scored in those 8 games with an average of 32 ppg. This too is a league record.
