Former World No. 1 Serena Williams is one of tennis’ greatest assets. The manner in which she’s graced the game seems second to none. Until now, the American had a long and illustrious career, in which, she enjoyed a large amount of success. She began her career as a teenager and still continues to compete at the highest level after entering motherhood.
In September 2017, Williams gave birth to her daughter Alexis Olympia Jr. Ever since then, the 39-year-old balances life with her professional commitments and personal life, in a commendable manner. The mother of one pampers Olympia with all love and affection. Serena gave Olympia a ‘Qai Qai’ doll, which became a sensation amongst celebrities too.
Serena Williams’ Life Revolves Around Olympia
Recently in an interview, the twenty-three-time Grand Slam winner was asked what is her greatest fear and she said, “Not being there, and around enough, for my daughter.” When she was asked what is the greatest love of her life, she stated, “My daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.” Like any mother, Williams’ life revolves around her daughter. Not long ago, the American superstar posted a picture, in which she gave tennis lessons to Olympia.
During the lockdown, Serena posted a picture of Olympia trying her hand in cooking. During the US Open last year, Olympia watched her mother practice keenly. In one instance, Williams was helped by her daughter in dressing up for an occasion. Both mother and daughter enjoy each other’s company.
Coming to tennis, Serena is in Australia, competing at the WTA 500 Melbourne 2021 event. She won her match at the Round of 16 and moved into the quarterfinal. After this event, she will compete at the season’s first Grand Slam, the Australian Open 2021.
The American starlet won her last Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in 2017. She is one title shy away from equaling Australian legend Margaret Court’s record of 24 championships.
