Former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki announced her retirement from tennis after the Australian Open 2020. The former player started suffering from rheumatoid arthritis in 2018. Keeping that in mind, she bid goodbye to tennis in 2020 after playing her last match against Ons Jabeur.
Ever since then, fans have been after Wozniacki to renounce her retirement. She retired at the age of 29 and is 30 right now. Her primary objective to retire quickly was to raise awareness about rheumatoid arthritis.
Recently, Caroline casually took to Twitter and said that since the WTA no longer had an app, where could she see the 2021 schedule? This provided a ray of hope to many since it seemed like she might have been thinking of a possible return. Belgian tennis player Kirsten Flipkens even humorously asked if she was planning for a comeback.
“Planning a comeback as you need the schedule?” asked Flipkens on Twitter. Wozniacki reacted quickly to this; however, her response was not what fans were waiting for. “Hahaha nope! But I like to watch tennis,” replied the former Danish player.

“Nice to know what tournaments are happening”- Caroline Wozniacki
The former World No. 1 even clarified that the reason she was asking for a schedule was because she still liked to watch tennis and wanted more information on the scheduled tournaments. “Would be nice to know what tournaments are happening,” added the 30-year-old Wozniacki humorously.
It is clear that Wozniacki is not returning to the court as a player right now. However, she still likes the game and loves to watch it. And who knows; she might one day change her mind and lift one more title!
