The Philadelphia 76ers have been going through quite the change in their roster and front office. Doc Rivers was appointed the new head coach after Brett Brown was let go for their disappointing first-round exit in the playoffs. Former Rockets GM Daryl Morey was appointed the new president of basketball operations.
With regards to the roster, the 76ers have made a lot of trades and free-agent signings. Let us look at the 2021 Philadelphia 76ers roster.
Philadelphia 76ers – Confirmed Incoming Players
Seth Curry (Trade)
Dallas is acquiring Philadelphia’s Josh Richardson and No. 36 pick for Seth Curry, source tells ESPN.

The 76ers traded for Seth Curry from the Dallas Mavericks. In return, the Mavericks received Josh Richardson and the 36th pick of the 2020 NBA Draft.
This is a great move for Philly, given how bad their three-point shooting was last season. Ben Simmons does not have a good three-point shot, so the addition of Seth Curry at point guard will allow for a legitimate three-point threat for the team. Curry is a career 44% from the three-point line.
Danny Green (Trade)
The Sixers are trading Al Horford and a first-round and second-round pick to the Thunder for Danny Green, sources tell ESPN.

Curry wasn’t the only three-point shooter the 76ers acquired. They traded Al Horford and two future draft picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Danny Green and Terrence Ferguson.
Green went to OKC as part of a trade package for Dennis Schröder. Adding another experienced 3-and-D player to their roster is a significant step for the 76ers. This will allow point guard Ben Simmons to run the offense and create opportunities for all of them to shoot the lights out.

Dwight Howard (Free Agent Signing)

The 76ers acquired Dwight Howard in free agency on the veterans minimum. Howard is being brought in to provide back-up for star player Joel Embiid.
Howard is coming off a resurgent year with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won his first NBA Championship. While Howard is no longer in his prime, he proved last year that he can play an important role on a contender.
He was key to the Lakers defeating the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference finals. The addition of Howard is a major coup for the 76ers.
Tyrese Maxey (NBA Draft)
The 76ers added Tyrese Maxey through the 21st pick in the 2020 NBA draft. Maxey has good potential and can provide solid backup to point guard Ben Simmons.
Philadelphia 76ers – Confirmed Outgoing Players

Outgoing – Ben Simmons (For James Harden)
