Tim Henman: Everyone Is Eager to See Roger Federer

Recently, while speaking to former British top seed Tim Henman, he seemed eager for the 2021 season to begin. He does have a shortlist of players who he’d keep an eye out for. Speaking to him about those players, he revealed, “The obvious one is Federer. I mean, he’s a good friend of mine. He’s someone I’ve known for a long, long time, and we’re all eager to see him. However, he does have his sights set on an interesting prospect, Jannik Sinner. The teenaged Italian impressed with his performances this season. Keeping note of which, Henman further added, “I would say Jannik Sinner for sure. I’ve been very impressed with his progress. His performance against Nadal at Roland Garros was very, very impressive.

“If Sinner had got that first set under his belt, that could have been a long evening for Nadal. I look at his game and I see a lot of room for improvement. And that I think is what makes it so exciting.”

Jannik Sinner had a great run at this year’s French Open. He beat David Goffin and Alexander Zverev during his run at the tournament and ended the season winning the Sofia Open.
