“We often find ourselves to be our own biggest critic, which is why I think it’s so important to know yourself and not doubt your own abilities. Much easier said than done (and something I still work on today!), but being decisive and having confidence in my decisions has really helped me navigate my career, especially now, as I explore new spaces like business and design,” concluded the 5-time Grand Slam champion.

Sharapova certainly believes that it is necessary to be decisive in life. She claimed that it was important to be one’s own critic in order to learn and explore more. She took her own example and remarked that it was because of this confidence that she was able to be successful both as a tennis player and as an entrepreneur.

It was quite a heartbreaking moment for fans when Sharapova decided to retire at the Australian Open 2020. However, fans still love her and often visit her candy shops.
