Mick Schumacher is currently on top of the F2 driver standings with 191 points. According to reports, he will join the Haas F1 team next season. It is reported that Haas F1 is likely to have an inexperienced drivers line up. Schumacher could team up with Nikita Mazepin to complete Haas’s 2021 drivers line up.

Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean were let off by Haas F1 last month. Currently, the pair stands without a Formula 1 contract in hand. The seats are limited and the possibilities get slimmer by the day.

According to reports, Kevin Magnussen believes Schumacher could thrive at Haas if he makes his debut with him next year. He said, “So I think he, certainly, is going to be good, whatever he brings in terms of deals with him. I’m sure just in the driving and his his ability, I think he’s going to be great for the team.”

Magnussen states Mick Schumacher has got to be on the list

Magnussen said Schumacher impressed him through his skills all season. He said, “I’ve met him and talked to him and he seems like a very bright young lad and obviously he’s a big talent, he’s leading the F2 championship and driving brilliantly.”

However, he clarified he is not aware of what Guenther Steiner and Gene Haas are planning for the team. He explained, “I don’t know these things, neither Guenther or Gene tell me any of this but I’m assuming that Schumacher is on the list.”

Guenther Steiner has previously discussed the advantages and disadvantages of a young drivers lineup. He accepted that it is a gamble that could go either way. Either way, it will be a great learning experience for the team. However, it will be exciting to see how the decision works out for the team next season. Will Mick Schumacher be able to bring his Formula 2 form to Formula 1.
