The two top teams in the Western Conference will go against each other on Sunday night. The LA Clippers will travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns at 8:00 PM ET. Both sides are eyeing the NBA title this year.
While the Clippers were already a fan favorite to win it all this season, the Suns have proved that they are one of the top contenders as well. Phoenix has won all but 1 game in their first 6 games of the season. The Chris Paul-Devin Booker duo is working wonderfully for them so far.
But can they take defeat Kawhi Leonard and co? We will find out very soon. Until then, let’s take a look at the predicted lineups and injury updates for both sides prior to their fixture.
Los Angeles Clippers injury updates and predicted lineup
In their last fixture, the Clippers lost to the Utah Jazz in a close battle. Even though Jazz won by only 6 points, it was enough to hand LA the second defeat of the season.
Moving forward, they will look to win such games. Furthermore, with Kawhi Leonard back in the lineup, the team is back at their 100%.
Luckily, in the recent injury report, the Clippers have no big names missing fot their next game vs the Suns. So their lineup might feature Patrick Beverley (G), Paul George (G), Kawhi Leonard (F), Serge Ibaka (F), and Ivica Zubac (C).
Phoenix Suns injury updates and predicted lineup
The Suns are enjoying a great winning streak in the first few weeks of the season. In fact, they haven’t lost a game in their last 4 matchups. But against a team of Clippers’ caliber, they need to be on their toes and bring out their A game on the table.
As of now, there are no new injury updates for the Suns. Keeping that in mind, their predicted lineup is Chris Paul (G), Devin Booker (G), Mikal Bridges (F), Jae Crowder (F), and DeAndre Ayton (C).
The Suns have huge momentum right now which should give them an edge over Los Angeles. Despite who the winner is, the game has all the ingredients to be a close battle between two of the best teams in the league.
