Spanish tennis superstar Rafael Nadal has posted a special Christmas message for his fans on Twitter.
Rafael Nadal hopes people celebrate Christmas as they should
Auto giant KIA, which has a big-money endorsement deal with Nadal, posted a video on its Spanish Twitter page where the 20-time Grand Slam champion is heard wishing that everyone gets to celebrate Christmas as it should be.
The Spaniard says that this year has been especially tough on everyone but he hopes people still find some joy and festive cheer at the end of it through Christmas.
“Hello everybody! First of all, I hope that you all are healthy and able to celebrate this Xmas time as it deserves. It’s been a very difficult year, very weird and I think it’s been very tough for everybody,” Nadal says in the video.
Nadal reveals KIA deal extended till 2025
He said that while the said trail of events this year affected him as deeply as it did others around the world, he will gladly take a few positives that came his way and move into the new season.
Despite being emotionally overwrought by how the pandemic ravaged his homeland, Nadal won his 13th French Open title this year, tying him with Roger Federer for the most number of Grand Slam trophies.
He also sealed a fresh deal with the South Korean car-maker, tying him with the firm till 2025.
“Personally though, I’ll take some of the positives I’ve been able to live with this year, as has been to be able to win RG (Roland-Garros) again or to extend my partnership with KIA till 2025, which is very special to me since we’ve been together for almost a lifetime and are very close to the silver anniversary,” the Spaniard says.
Rafael Nadal hopes for happy festive tidings for all

“I also want to take advantage of this message to wish you all the very best for 2021, above all lots of health, and I hope the new year brings a lot of joy to all of you.
A big hug!” the Spaniard says.
