The Formula One team, Williams & Haas, might have a sponsor change as they are linked to BWT. The Austrian water treatment company is allegedly set to stay in the F1 grid after holding talks with these two teams.

The Austrian company parted ways with Racing Point, who is now Aston Martin. The rebranded team went with cognizant to be their title sponsor for the upcoming 2021 season, which meant the iconic pink livery had to go.

Can Williams pull off the pink color?

There is no official confirmation from BWT about their future in the world of F1. However, Autosport has learned from its sources that the company has been looking at two choices to keep its colors in Grand Prix racing.

However, there is an option with Williams. The team’s new owner, Dorilton Capital, although their 2021 car has been around Silverstone. The team won’t reveal the car till 5th March which further speculates the change of livery for the team.

Furthermore, Williams’ decision to run a darker livery in its Silverstone shakedown, hints at a refreshed paint scheme.

A spokesperson said,” Williams Racing is shaping an exciting new brand direction and commercial strategy and this is resulting in significant interest as we begin a new era for the team. By their nature, these discussions are confidential so as a policy, we do not comment on any specifics or speculation.”

The other option that is not further down the grid is with Haas, which has been without a title since 2019 after the infamous deal with Rich energy had collapsed.

BWT  has been around and would like to continue

The team has been on the grid since Force India and becoming their title sponsor when they got morphed into Racing Point.

The company has been around the grid for a few years and recognizes the marketing capability of the sport. Hence they will use any opportunity they get to stay on the grid if that’s helping the top teams or assisting the backmarkers.

In short, whoever gets BWT as their sponsor may see a change in their color. The fans have grown to like the pink and can’t wait to see it back on cars once the season begins in Bahrain. There is still time for the season to start, so we just have to wait till the car launches of Haas and Williams are done to get our answers.
