It has been over 2 weeks since 2K released the next-gen version of NBA 2K21. There have been both positive and negative reviews, but NBA superstar Kevin Durant has given it his seal of approval.

He also spoke about how he is using the game to prepare for his return, and also how 2K is affecting basketball. “Lately, I’ve been playing with the Nets,” Durant said while speaking to NBA 2KTV’s Alexis Morgan.

“I guess I’ve been trying to figure out how we are going to play by using the game. Sometimes I play against myself, sometimes I play as the team. Either way, it’s so much fun.”

After suffering an injury during the 2019 NBA Finals, Durant has not been in action since June 2019. Now he is gearing up for the 2020-21 season as he enters a new chapter in his career.

So to help him understand how he will fit into the team, Durant is relying on 2K to see what is the best system for them.

Kevin Durant says 2K is a cerebral game

Later he spoke about how the game is realistic and how one has to use their brains to come out on top. He said, “The game is really nerve-wracking when you lock-in.

“It’s tough to score on the computer because everybody has their actual movements on there, so you really have to be strategic and smart. It’s a real cerebral game now, so I enjoy it.”

While he praised them during this interview, he has been vocal about his complaints previously. Back in February, he complained about the 2K’s transition defense on Twitter.

Is Durant up for a big season with the Nets?

It is no longer a rumor that James Harden wants to join the Nets. If they pull off this trade, Durant will be reunited with his former OKC teammate and will form the best offense in the league.

Both of them are elite scorers, and it will be a nightmare for any defense facing them. This team-up will definitely make them the number one title favorites, bringing Durant a step closer to his 3rd ring.
