“He Has Set the Standard”: Jim Courier Praises Roger Federer for His Interview Skills

Tennis’ greatest asset, Roger Federer, has mesmerized fans over the years with his splendid quality of tennis. The dominance displayed by the Swiss player has made him very popular amongst fans from all over the world. 

Former World No. 1 Roger Federer is one of the most successful players the game has witnessed. The manner in which he commands himself on the tennis court and off it is worth watching. Over the years, with all the fame and attention, Federer has had to work not just on his performances on the court, but also on his commitments outside of tennis.

Jim Courier says Roger Federer has shown players what interviews should be

Recently, Jim Courier was asked about his favorite players when it came to their post-match interviews. Jim said, “Well, the easiest person and the one who set the standard has been Federer because he’s so talkative… He’s really shown all the other players what those interviews should be as far as how they can present themselves to the fans and draw a connection.”

Jim has been a former World No. 1 player and has won four Grand Slam titles. He’s been a two-time winner at the Australian Open and at Roland Garros. In recent years, Jim has done on-court interviews with players after their matches at the Australian Open. The entire activity is carried out in a pleasant manner, and fans look forward to these interviews.

Coming to the current season, Roger withdrew from the Australian Open but is expected to return to Tour soon.
