Fernando Alonso recently met with a shaking accident while riding his bike on the Swiss roads. Subsequently, this left a massive void over his hopes of giving a sensational comeback to Formula 1. Speculations swarmed around social media that the Spaniard could miss out on the crucial winter testing.
Thankfully, amid such scary rumors, the reality turned out to be a huge relief for the F1 fandom. A day after the accident, the Alpine F1 team confirmed that their newly recruited driver had gone through surgery on his jaw.
They also clarified that the 39-year-old would be very much fit for the approaching winter testing set to take place in Bahrain. And true to their words, Alonso is, in fact, recovering at a speedy pace.
The Spaniard provided his first update since the horrifying road accident in Switzerland.
