Dominic Thiem on other environmental issues
This isn’t the first time Thiem has raised his voice against the demonic behavior of humankind on nature and the environment. A year back, Thiem had talked about helping organizations such as 4ocean and WWF, who have taken up the task to preserve various other beings in the environment.
Speaking on marine pollution, he said, “It’s one of the biggest problems nowadays that we face, with all the plastic pollution. I love nature and I’m trying to support this whenever I can. I really hope to attend one of their cleanups and help. It would really be a dream for me.”
Further, Thiem has also talked about turning to a purely vegetarian diet once he retires. He cited that traveling and playing all over the world is tough and it is hard to maintain a vegetarian diet.
“At home, it’s easier because we use products from our own garden. During tournaments, it is more difficult. But after my career, I want to become a vegetarian.”
On the court, Dominic Thiem is looking very good to end his 2020 well. With his group stage performance at the ATP Finals 2020, Thiem is now a huge favorite to win the title. His group contained Rafa Nadal, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Andrey Rublev, and he had a near-perfect group against those three heavyweights.
Now, Thiem plays Novak Djokovic in the semifinals. Who do you think will emerge victorious from this clash?
