Lewis Hamilton stands on an equal footing with the great Michael Schumacher following his emphatic win at Nurburgring. However, his achievement gave birth to several discussions. One of those varied topics would be his comparison with the great Michael Schumacher.

Lewis defied several odds by reaching the zenith of his racing career(for now). However, it is unlikely that he will stop there. The lad from Stevenage keeps going and getting better every day.

Ross Brawn, following the Eifel Grand Prix, opened up about the stark difference between Lewis and Schumacher.

In terms of the sharp end, in the car, they are clearly both exceptional talents,’ he said. ‘Out of the car, I cannot think of more different characters.

“When I started working with Lewis I was shocked by him. I had been used to Michael and his single-minded approach. He had very few distractions and was very much family- orientated,” declared Brawn.

Schumacher to Lewis Hamilton, the times have changed

Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher are two generations apart. By the time Lewis took to the steering wheel, the game had changed completely.

So Lewis’s lifestyle, with the traveling, the music, the fashion shows, was odd to me. He was much more flamboyant. Yet Lewis has proved, and everybody now acknowledges this, that these other things are part of his success,” said Brawn.

Lewis Hamilton is, in every sense of the modern term, an ‘influencer’. The world runs based on influencers these days.

It was easy to see the dedication in Michael, but not so easy with Lewis — outwardly, I mean. He hid it. But once you got used to his style, you could see a total desire to succeed in motor racing.

“And they could both do things in racing cars that very few people can produce the exceptional lap,” admitted Ross Brawn.

I believe, if you are sure of what you are doing and if your devotion to the job is as required, you can do multiple things at the same time.

Lewis Hamilton is great at racing, but designing and traveling are his hobbies. So that probably contributes to what makes the calm and composed racer a legend.
