Bradley Beal Etches His Name Alongside Michael Jordan With Remarkable Start to 2021 NBA Season

No other player is currently averaging 30+ PPG in the ongoing 2020/21 NBA season except for Bradley Beal. That would pretty much tell you how well the Washington Wizards guard has been playing so far. The 27-year-old has got to a record-setting start and fans can’t get over his incredible talent.

Looking at the Wizards’ record and comparing it with Beal’s individual numbers makes no sense. That’s just how the picture has been so far for Washington, as they’re unable to rack up the victories despite having the season’s leading scorer on their side.

Bradley Beal joins Michael Jordan and James Harden in massive scoring record

The NBA regular-season can be a grueling affair and it is essential to get off to a good start. Likewise, Bradley Beal has been putting up stellar displays for the Wizards, but the team is performing quite terribly.

However, through ten games, Beal went on a scoring run and amassed 349 points to his name. Here are his scores from the first 10 games

31, 39, 29, 29, 28, 31, 27, 60, 41, and 34. These stellar displays were enough to make him the third player with the most points scored through 10 games in the last 50 seasons!

Only Michael Jordan and James Harden have scored more than Beal in a season’s first 10 games, and Beal would be proud of finishing behind these legendary scorers.

Beal also emulated Jordan with an unbelievable layup

Michael Jordan was a beast of an athlete during his playing days. Teams struggled to contain his tremendous speed, and ‘His Airness’ effortlessly clinched 10 scoring titles to mark his legacy.

MJ has amassed more than 30,000 points in his NBA career, and a fair share of them have come through layups. The up and under layup was one of the most famous moves in Jordan’s skill set, and Bradley Beal recently made a similar Jordan-esque layup.

There are no second thoughts about how good Bradley Beal is. He’s currently leading the league in scoring with 34.9 points per game, but is facing an uphill task of carrying the Wizards on his back.

The Wizards can reach new heights if they fix their defense and organize solid tactics. Moreover, Russell Westbrook needs to step up his game and combine with Beal to uplift Washington from its shabby position.
